FAMILY-LED CLEAN AIR OBSERVATORY

Do you know what's in the air your children breathe today? 🧪

For the first time in Ecuador, families take control of the data. We don't just measure pollution; we connect Quito, Guayaquil, and Cuenca in a real-time monitoring network to transform our health and our cities.

Pollution invisibly affects our children and older adults. This observatory was born so that families can stop being spectators and become citizen scientists, capable of making informed decisions to protect life.

OUR CITIZEN SCIENCE STRATEGY

Real-Time Monitoring 📊
We've built a network of sensors (indoor and outdoor) in Quito, Guayaquil, and Cuenca. Thanks to the AirGradient platform, anyone—mothers, fathers, students, or researchers—can access historical and current data.

Capabilities That Protect 💪
We don't just collect figures; we teach people how to interpret them. Through workshops and advocacy campaigns, we strengthen the capacity of schools and homes to use information as an engine for social change.

Urban Solutions 🌿
We use the data to drive sustainable mobility policies, clean energy, and the creation of more green spaces. Your neighborhood becomes the evidence to demand healthier cities.

Through this project, we continue building a more informed, conscious, and empowered society that defends the right to breathe clean air. 🌎💨

ALLIES FOR THE CLIMATE

This project is the result of the union between the community organization Pacha Ayllu and Huasipichanga, working side by side with:

  • Escuela Fénix (Guayaquil): Strengthening monitoring on the coast.

  • AirGradient Ltd.: Thanks to their generous donation of monitors and technical guidance.

  • Our Kids' Climate: For their invaluable support in connecting children's health with climate action.
