PLANNING AND LOGISTICS

Mateo focuses on transforming urban environments through tactical urbanism and placemaking, promoting the revitalization of public spaces to make them more alive, dynamic, and safe. His vision centers on placing young people at the heart of urban design, driving participatory processes where the community co-creates solutions to build more human, inclusive, and livable cities.

He is an architect who graduated from Universidad Internacional del Ecuador (UIDE). His training combines the rigor of spatial design and urban planning with a strong specialization in visualization tools and technical documentation aimed at developing projects with social, environmental, and community impact.

He works at the Huasipichanga Foundation, where he serves as Technical-Architectural Director and Youth Director for global and local initiatives such as the S2Cities and Tejiendo Futuro projects. In this role, he designs and delivers the youth development curriculum for people between the ages of 14 and 29, coordinates the volunteer programs, and leads both the comprehensive logistics management and the production of technical architectural documentation for urban interventions in areas such as Quitumbe, Calderón, and Crucita.
