DIEGO ROCHA LLINÁS
RESEARCHER
Diego is an Ecuadorian researcher currently pursuing studies in Political Science and Governance. With a prior background in Film and Audiovisual Studies, he develops a transdisciplinary approach within the humanities, exploring the intersections between philosophy, science, the arts, and their implications for society and the State.
His work focuses on understanding how different fields of knowledge can engage in dialogue to contribute to the design of systems, plans, and programs informed by both scientific evidence and philosophical reflection. He maintains a particular interest in processes of systemic governance and the ways in which ideas influence social and institutional organization.
He currently works as a research assistant at the Huasipichanga Foundation and as a documentary cinematographer, combining academic research with audiovisual production as tools for analyzing and understanding complex social phenomena.
His recognitions include being selected as a winner at Sur Cine Lab (2018), first place in the Political Debate category of the Legal Olympics at the University of Barranquilla, and first place in an international letter-writing contest organized by the Universidad Católica de Cuenca. These experiences have helped strengthen a career oriented toward critical thinking, research, and interdisciplinary communication.
