AMELIA TAPIA

COUNTRY COORDINATOR (ECU)

Amelia studied architecture in the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, in Quito and did her Master´s in Building Technology at the TUDelft. She has worked in architectural and urban projects from developing construction systems for wooden constructions, to planning urban interventions. The past two years she has worked with urban programs from the Netherlands and Ecuador that improve cities for children and their caregivers around the globe.
Amelia is currently working on improving cities for children and their caregivers. She is the national coordinator in Ecuador, leading the research, development and implementation of Huasipichanga´s interventions in the country. She enjoys working with people and providing space and opportunities for them to raise their voices and participate in the city decision-making process.
