Giulia Gualtieri

Partner (NL)

Giulia has been a partner at Huasipichanga since 2019 when she joined the team that initiated the Dutch office in the Netherlands. She is an architect, urban planner and researcher specialised in community-driven development and participatory design. Her work is dedicated to co-creating inclusive, vibrant and environmentally friendly cities. Giulia lives in the Netherlands and conducts research at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences of Almere in the Urban Innovation Research Group. At the same time, she is a PhD candidate at TU/Eindhoven. She is researching the concept of participatory and nature-inclusive design and pushing a transition from a human-centred to a more holistic (nature-inclusive) design approach. In the coming years, she would like to dedicate her career to nature-inclusive design and co-creating public space for and with non-human communities.

Socia (nl)

Giulia es socia de Huasipichanga desde 2019, cuando se unió al equipo que inició la oficina holandesa en los Países Bajos. Es arquitecta, urbanista e investigadora especializada en desarrollo impulsado por la comunidad y diseño participativo. Su trabajo está dedicado a la cocreación de ciudades inclusivas, vibrantes y respetuosas con el medio ambiente. Giulia vive en los Países Bajos e investiga en la Universidad Windesheim de Ciencias Aplicadas de Almere, en el Grupo de Investigación sobre Innovación Urbana. Al mismo tiempo, es doctoranda en la TU/Eindhoven. Investiga el concepto de diseño participativo y respetuoso con la naturaleza e impulsa la transición de un enfoque de diseño centrado en el ser humano a otro más holístico (respetuoso con la naturaleza). En los próximos años, le gustaría dedicar su carrera al diseño inclusivo en la naturaleza y a la cocreación de espacios públicos para y con comunidades no humanas.
